How Three Doctors Created a Mental Health Platform for Ambitious POC

RePsychled Productions is platform committed to changing the politics of mental health care access.

Founded by three Black women doctors (Dr. Reshaunda Strickland, Dr. LaFonya Jones-Hines, and Dr. Nichelle Wall), the studio produces weekly podcasts and educational content for ambitious people of color searching for the path to a better self.

Challenge

The doctors came to our agency unsure of how to grow their audience and transform a stagnant social media presence into a robust and engaged one.

Through our brand essence process, we educated them on the basics of building a brand identity, the importance of having firm brand values that impact our brand voice, and a content curriculum that goes beyond just entertainment, and into the realm of edutainment and community building.

Before

The initial logo combined a variety of design elements in an attempt to symbolize the brand.

But as the Doctors said, this logo was created “under duress” and did not accurately convey the vision and soul of this brand.

The Doctors wanted to feel excited about seeing their logo plastered on walls, merchandise, and content. They wanted a luxurious logo with symbolic values hidden in the details.

Our Process

The RePsychled peacock is a symbol for regrowth.

The turned head represents the process of preening and self-care.

Outcome

We designed a full brand identity system to streamline Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube content creation.

This refined communication strategy included custom content templates, content schedules, content curriculum, and a weekly content creation process to make content creation seamless.

Results

We relaunched their brand with entirely new brand visuals to improve the audience experience.
